My dinner tonight was my aunt's signature dish - Belachan Mixed Veg
Recipe: Belachan Cabbage (Assorted Veg)
Ingredients:
450g Cabbage - cut into pcs
10g Black fungus - soaked, cleaned & remove hard cores
3 pcs Mushroom
1 stick Beancurd stick - break into pcs & deep fried(optional)
2 cloves Garlic
10g Belachan
150g Pork - shredded
Pork Seasoning:- Season the pork for 15 mins
1/4 tsp Vetsin
1/2 tsp Light sauce
1/2 tsp Cooking wine
1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
1/4 tsp Salt
A pinch Sugar
Pepper
Sauce:
100ml Stock
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Light sauce
1 tsp Sesame oil
Pepper
Thickening: Cornflour 1 tsp mix with 1 tbsp water
Method:
1. Heat 1 tbsp oil, fry garlic & belachan till fragrant.
2. Add pork, fungus & mushroom, stir well.
3. Add cabbage & mix well.
4. Add Sauce & simmer till cabbage cooked.
5. Add thickening & mix well & serve.
