A beautifully decorated & cosy restaurant which resembles a traditional Old Beijing Teahouse, serving authentic Northern Chinese food. That's where I had my family dinner last night, Lao Beijing Dining Hall - Plaza Singapura (Tung Lok Group). There are 2 other branch, one at Novena Square & the other one at Tiong Bahru Plaza.
A rather pleasant dining experience with a cosy environment & pretty good services. It's worth a revisit to savour their others dishes.

We started off with a cold dish:
Spicy Chicken with Chef Special Sauce - S$6.00
The sauce was a bit spicy with strong taste of sesame sauce & a hint of peppercorn. Quite appetizing but my aunt don't like the sauce.
Steamed Juicy Crab Meat & Pork Xiaolong Buns - S$12.00
Steamed Juicy Crab Meat & Pork Xiaolong Buns - S$12.00
This was very good, the skin was thin and the bun was very juicy with rich & tasty stock.
Dry Stir Fry French Bean w/Minced Pork - S$12.00
Dry Stir Fry French Bean w/Minced Pork - S$12.00
Quite tasty with a bit of 'wok hei' and filled with fresh prawn, squid & scallop. The rice was fried with fresh seafood and lots of egg, top on a lotus leaf and baked with some cheese. The portion is quite big, if ordering other dishes, this can be shared by 4.
Stir Fried Shredded Pork in Bean Paste Sauce serve w/Spring Onion & Wrap - S$16.00
The pork was quite salty and a bit sweet, taste like the Beijing Roast Duck Sauce. It's quite nice to eat with the wrap but the wrap served was not enough for all the pork. Additional order of the wrap is at S$4.00 per plate. Quite expensive, it's like those frozen crepe that can be found in supermarket.
Braised Song Fishhead w/Onion Pancake - S$22.00
Fishhead braised with the Chef's Special Sauce. The sauce goes very well with the crispy onion pancake and the fishhead was very fresh. This is my favourite among the rest as I simply love fishhead.
