It's lunch time again and a group of us were wondering again what to eat... Poh Poh Hang zi char located in Techview foodcourt came into our mind. Have not been dining there for quite awhile so we decided to share a zi char meal for lunch. They serve the standard zi char fares and also claypot dishes which are rather economical as price ranges from $5 onward only. Most of the claypot dishes are pretty good and portion is good enough for 2. If you have more people just order a few claypots to share and it will cost less than $10 per pax to have a delightful 5-6 courses meal. We ordered 6 dishes and total bill came up to about $48.00 only for the 5 of us. Don't you think is rather cheap and value for money? Definitely coming back more often as I find that the food is better than my last visit.
Homemade Tofu with Pork Floss & Salad Cream
Recommended by the Chef to try. Deep fried to perfection as it was not oily at all. The tofu was quite tasty seem liked fish paste was added. Pork floss and salad cream complimented the tofu very well.Steamed Fish Head with Preserved Radish
The fish head was not really very fresh but the condiment was really good. The chay poh was quite addictive as it was not overly salty and the sauce was flavourful.Soupy Chinese Spinach with 3 types of eggs
Every one's favourite vegetable dish. A light and healthy dish in a delightful way.Claypot Sesame Oil Chicken
The sauce was full of sesame oil and chinese wine fragrant. The chicken was tender and flavourful. Thumb up for this.Claypot Pork Ribs and Bittergourd
Another very flavourful dish that made you ask for more rice to go with it. The pork ribs was stewed to soft and tender. The bittergourd was a delight too as it has absorbed the rich flavour of the pork ribs.Claypot Eggplant with Minced Pork
One of our favourite dish which the stall has done it quite well too.
