Mirabelle Patisserie

14th Sep 2010

An amazing little bakery located in one of the shophouses along Mackenzie Road. Why I think is amazing because the area that they are located is so quiet and yet they are so well known! If not for all the raving, I will never go to that area at all. According to many, they serve the Best Croissant in Singapore and is even comparable to those in Paris! Croissant is Aunt's favourite so I purposely went down to get some for her.

Butter Croissant (S$1.50) & Ham and Cheese Croissant (S$2.00)

My family and colleagues all gave thumb up for these. They love it and commented super buttery & flaky! However I think otherwise, probably I don't fancy croissant. I find it too oily and rich, when I warmed it up in the toaster the next day, I can literally see oil dripping out.

Charcoal Custard Bun (S$2.00)

I was more impressed by the charcoal bun. The bun was so soft even I ate it the next day and the custard went so well with it. A must try!

Green Tea Red Bean Swiss Roll (S$1.80)

Not too bad though I find it a bit too dense and sweet.

Blueberry Cheese Tart (S$1.80)

Very rustic looking and surprisingly quite nice.

Healthy Olive Oil Wholemeal Cranberry Scone (S$2.80/pack)

I also bought a pack of these healthy scones for my doggies! All the ingredients used are safe for them to consume. Very little sugar, wholemeal flour, oat, olive oil and cranberry.

Hi DG, the charcoal bun is lovely. Very light and soft.

Hi Oysterdiaries, I didn't see that when I was there. Going to try it next time.
