Tegallalang Rice Terrace

Day 2 (Part 5) - 26th Aug 2011

After our Babi Guling lunch, we proceed to Tegallalang Rice Terrace. At Tegallalang, they have one of the most spectacular rice terrace in Bali. A popular tourist attraction in Ubud that worth a visit.

Beautiful view! A natural therapy to the eyes by staring at the green rice terrace...lol! Picture perfect! We had snapped many photos here too. We are all very impressed!

Just amazing and wondering how the rice can be grown on each step.

Lots of manual maintenance work to be done, to keep up the rice terrace.

You can have a relaxing afternoon tea in the hut while enjoying the view of the rice terrace.

There are a numbers of cafe along the rice terrace that offer a good view of the terrace.

However it's a bit too hot to sit under the sun, probably the sheltered hut is a wiser choice.

Upon arrival, many locals will approach you to buy the batik/scarf/sarong. Our driver advised us not to buy any as once you buy, the rest of them will all come and pester you too.

There are a few souvenir and art & crafts shops in the area too.
