Along Balestier Road, there are a few BKT eateries. Recently we saw one in an air-conditioned restaurant which used to be called Au Fu Restaurant but I'm not sure whether is it newly opened. As previously this unit was a coffee shop selling BKT too. The eatery is clean, neat and spacious. They served Teochew Style BKT.
Bak Kut Teh or pork ribs soup is a very popular local Chinese delight. There are 2 version, the Teochew style soup is more clear and peppery whereas the Hokkien style is less peppery but the soup is darker color as soya sauce is added. My family prefers the Teochew style.

Bak Kut Teh (Prime Ribs - S$6.00/serving)
Pig Kidney Soup (S$6.00)
The kidney was very fresh and no gamey smell.
Braised Small Intestine (S$6.00)
Preserved Vegetable (S$3.00)
Tong O Soup (S$2.00)
Not worth ordering, as there were only a mouthful of vegetables which was not even enough for myself.
Overall, the food was alright and prices are rather reasonable though not very cheap. If you wish to have BKT and don't wish to queue up at Founder BKT which is just few units down the road. You may want to give this a try.
