Pietrasanta The Italian Restaurant

We had a very nice Italian dinner at Pietrasanta to celebrate one of my buddy, Hwee's birthday. Though the location is a bit out of the way for me but I always don't mind to travel far for good food! Thanks Lim for the recommendation!

Pietrasanta is a Tuscany style family restaurant that owned and operated by the Tuscan brothers. Giuseppe manages the restaurant and Chef Loris manages the kitchen. They strive to delight every customer with fresh, simple and delicious authentic homestyle Italian food. The ambience is relaxing, cosy and comfortable, like dining at home! Affordable and quality Italian food that makes you want to come back again and again.

Complimentary fried little dough bread was lovely to start with.

Caciucco (S$16.90++) was rich and hearty! An Italian fish stew cooked with different kind of fish, shellfish and seafood served with toasted bread.

Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella cheese (S$34.90++) serve with tomatoes & salad. Serving was big for this and is good to share as starter!

Calamari Salad (S$14.90++) was perfectly done! Grilled fresh squid was juicy and sweet tasting!

Spaghetti Bottarga (S$18.90) was so delicious! My first encountered with bottarga. The pasta was perfectly al denta, fully coated with delicious garlic olive oil and finely sliced bottarga. This was not on the menu, you have to request it from the Chef.

Grilled tenderloin (S$30.90). I'm not a steak expert but I thought this was really good too. Nicely done at medium rare, tender, juicy and flavourful. A satisfying main course!

Tiramisu (S$7.00++). In an Italian restaurant, we always expect the tiramisu has to be good right? Yes it did not disappoint us too!

Air flown chocolate cake (S$12.90)! A must try for chocolate lover. Bittersweet chocolate was so smooth and rich tasting!

Banana Creme Brulee (S$6.50++) is the star dessert of the day! This was so so good! Creamy and not overly sweet. Once started just simply can't stop eating it...lol!
