Relax Bistro

A night out with one of my colleague at 313@Somerset. A few months old new shopping centre in Orchard. This place is quite a hit as it's always crowded as compared to Orchard Central which is just beside it. Read a handful of reviews about the dining at 313@Somerset and one of them that I always wanted to try was Relax Bistro.

Relax Bistro is a great place to chill out with friends. The restaurant interior is very cosy and chic with a fantastic al-fresco dining area. Very charming especially in the night. However, the food was just average and not as impressive as the decor. We ordered 2 main course and share an appetizer, a soup and a dessert. Total bill was about S$67.00 which was not really value for money.

Crispy Oyster - S$12.80++

This was a great start for the meal. The batter was nicely seasoned and crispy, coated the plump and juicy oyster. Yummy and addictive.

Cream of Chicken Soup (SOD) - S$4.00++
The soup was a disappointment, probably taste slightly better than instant cup soup.

Vongole - S$14.80++
My favourite kind of pasta which I can cook it quite well myself. The one here can't meet my expectation. The broth was a bit bland and lack of clam flavour though many clams were added. The only plus was the linguine was al dente.

Grilled Chicken - S$15.80++
Not bad but not good enough to impress and portion was quite small. Honey grilled chicken thigh served with pumpkin puree and greens.

Tiramisu - S$9.80++
The tiramisu at least was quite satisfying. It was light, not overly sweet and the sponge finger was nicely soaked with coffee liquor.
