A lunch date with a very close colleague of mine on a Saturday afternoon after work. Whenever we dine together, we always end up having Japanese food. Had gone to Sakae sushi with her numerous times at Toa Payoh so for a change we tried Ichiban Sushi at Toa Payoh Hub. Ichiban Sushi is also a Japanese chain restaurants similar to Sakae Sushi. The branch at Toa Payoh is always full house and at times even need to queue to get in. The food quality was generallyl better than Sakae.
My all time favourite ~ Salmon Belly! It just melt in my mouth! Yum!
Love the thick cut of Unagi which was simply irresistible!
Avocado & Salmon Salad was surprisingly yummy!
Grilled Hamachi Fish Head, very meaty & fresh but a bit overcooked.
Spicy Beef Hotpot & Sashimi Set was enjoyable too. The soup was very flavourful!

Looks like this place has closed down.
I don't think so the restaurant is still there.
