Rong Xi Economical Mixed Vegetables Rice

One of our favourite teochew porridge stall is at 341 Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 food centre. The pricing is reasonable as compared to some teochew porridge stall. Their signature dishes are Steam fish, Braised Duck and Spicy Squid but my favourites are all their vegetables dishes and the minced pork stew. All their stir fry veg are so tasty.

Last Sunday we had our dinner there and usually we will be there half an hour earlier before the opening for lunch or dinner to avoid the long Q. Their business are so good that during dinner time, 80% of the hawker centre tables are occupied by their customers.

The steam pomfret S$21.00 was quite big (enough for 4-6 pax) and the duck $8 (for 4-5pac). Usually the duck they will proportion it for you depend on no of pax. Their rice and porridge are at S$0.30 each and the rest of the veg dishes are all at $1.00 each only.

During dinner time, you can expect to see this... Long long Q.
