Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant (Tian Fu Teahouse) At UOB Plaza

Sunday - 18th January 2009
My sweet cousin Freda gave our family a lunch treat for getting her 1st bonus. We had dim sum at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant (Tian Fu Teahouse) at Top of UOB Plaza. The other outlet is at Parkroyal Hotel.

Being the highest restaurant in Singapore, you can dine among the cloud and be awed by magnificence city's skyline is one of their attraction. The main highlight was the tea was specially served using the traditional unique rites by the tea master. To qualify to serve, the tea master requires years of martial arts, dance and gymnastics training before one can perfect the amalgamation of elegance and skillfulness of traditional art of tea serving. The tea we had that afternoon was Zheng Shan Red Tea.

The dim sum was quite fresh but not so fantastic. Some of it were not so tasty especially the century egg porridge, chicken feet, custard bun & char siew bun, they specialised more on sichuan dishes. However overall dining experience was great with a cosy ambience and soothing chinese tea.

Clockwise - Marinated Jelly Fish w/Sesame, Marinated Mushroom In Onion Oil, Steam Siew Mai w/Crab Roe, Prawn Dumplings, Deep Fried Beancurb Roll w/Prawn, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, Steam Chicken Feet In Assorted Sauce, Steamed Glutinous Rice Roll w/Minced Meat, Fried Spring Roll w/Conpoy, Century Egg Congee, Char Siew Bun. Custard Bun, Spicy Shrimp Meat Dumpling In Chilli Oil & Fried Knife Shredded Noodles. Total bill came up to about S$130 plus.
