Tang Dian Wang, attracted by the glamourous decor & ambience, thus decided to have our dinner there on Friday.
Crunchy Golden Mushroom - S$7.80
Golden mushroom coated with crispy & light batter. A nice snack and the portion was really big, enough for 6.
Golden Crisp Salted Fish & Minced Pork Pancake - S$9.80
Golden Crisp Salted Fish & Minced Pork Pancake - S$9.80
Pork Dumplings in Sichuan Chilli Oil - S$4.50
Chicken with Fragrant Chives & Onions - S$9.80
Steamed Egg Tofu w/Baby Clams - S10.80
The egg tofu was smooth but the seasoning was a bit bland and would prefer the sauce to be more savoury than sweet.
Braised Chinese Cabbage w/Ginko Nuts & Dried Scallop - S$8.80
Braised Chinese Cabbage w/Ginko Nuts & Dried Scallop - S$8.80
Simmered Bee Hoon with Roasted Duck & Runny Egg - S$9.80
This was quite nicely done and very homecooked style. The stock was flavourful with runny egg added that made the beehoon very smooth. Nice. The portion was enough for 2-3 pax.
Slice Grouper Congee - S$9.80
Slice Grouper Congee - S$9.80
This was more porridge than congee. My family liked this but I would prefer it to be more fine and watery like the cantonese style. Taste was ok and japanese purple sweet potatoes were added.
Double Egg Fried Rice - S$7.80
Double Egg Fried Rice - S$7.80
The pricing and ambience are good. The food are served in rather big portion so do not over ordered. We seem to have over-ordered and generally the food was so so only. But, the soup and lotus rice seem nice, maybe next time we will be back to try.
