Teriyaki Chicken Burger

19th Sep 2010

This was one of my most satisfactory bake for the month Sept. Also my very first burger made from scratch. I seasoned the chicken thigh meat for the burger patties the night before. On Sunday morning, woke up early to make the wholemeal bun as I was serving it for lunch. While the bun was baking in the oven, I started cooking the teriyaki chicken. Assembling it was pretty simple, just line the bun with Iceburg lettuce and dress it with some Japanese mayonaise, then top with a piece of juicy teriyaki chicken and was ready to serve. Almost similar to the way Mos Burger serve their Teriyaki Chicken Burger.

Teriyaki Chicken Wholemeal Burger

This recipe was adapted from Valerie's Workshop so sorry I am not allowed to share the recipe as she is still teaching this recipe regularly at CC.

Freshly baked wholemeal bun

Soft, fluffy and tasty wholemeal bun

Homemade Teriyaki Chicken

Grilled Eel Burger

Brought some of the balance buns to office the next day and served it with eel. Wow, it was really yummy too!

hi wendy,

the chicken looks very pro! juicy and tender, comparable to the ones sold outside, nice job! I bet this homemade burger is real good stuff. Would gladly pay to have more than one =]

Just curious, the buns were made from direct method?

Wen,

So well done! This burger is very nice to eat, I have bought the chicken thigh but too lazy to do ended up gave away the whole pack. I hope will do this soon.
