Ah Loy Thai

20th Nov 2010

Always wanted to try Ah Loy Thai but was constraint to their opening hour as they are not open on Sunday and normally close around 8pm. Finally on one of the Saturday, my uncle sugguested an impromptu dinner at Ah Loy Thai. This cafe is very much being rave about for it's cheap and authentic Thai food at Shaw Tower. Are we impressed? Yes very much especially for the pricing! Super value for money and the food are very authentic too. We ordered quite a few seafood dishes and total bill came up to less than $60 only, no GST and service charge! All the dishes we had scored above average and there's nothing not nice at all. Let's take a look at what we had ...

Seafood Tom Yum Soup - S$6.00

Butter Calamari - S$6.50

Red Basil Minced Pork - S$5.00

Crispy Fish with Thai Spicy Sauce - S$9.80

Spicy Claypot Mussel - S$8.00

Spicy Pork Salad - S$6.00

Stir Fry Asparagus with Seafood - S$5.50

Phai Thai - S$5.50

Red Ruby - S$3.50

You should try out their pandan chicken, fried tang hoon and pineapple fried rice too! All are pretty delicious! :D

hey wendy,

I love ah Loy thai! been there several times. the claypot spicy mussels are nice but the accumulating effect of the heat is overwhelming for me.

The mango and payaya salads are not bad. fried tanghoon and tom yam fried rice are really good! I always order tom yam fried rice when I am there. green curry not bad also. mango crispy chicken is so-so.
