I finally get to try Ootoya with Hwee on a weekday dinner date and we were so lucky to get a table without queuing at 6.30pm. Ootoya serving authentic and affordable home cooked style Japanese food. This restaurant is very much raved about since it opened it's 1st Singapore branch in Orchard Central. Yes the food is good, indeed very comfortingly good! I even love the plain Japanese rice, the texture was so good and really taste liked what I had in Japan...!

hmm... i'm a sucker for ton katsu. how do you reckon the one at Ootoya fared amongst the others?
I find it comparable to Tonkichi Restaurant...
