Weekend Breakfast V - Fried Soon Kueh & Peng Kueh

My buddy bought us a box of soon kueh (Steamed turnip dumplings) and peng kueh (glutinous rice cake) from Alexandra (not sure where). Instead of warming up by re-steaming, we pan fried it. Any of you like to eat it this way too? It was really very good, I think is nicer than the steamed ones though it may be a bit oily.

Looks like I've tasted this before.  Is the filling .... glutinous rice?

That is my fav way of eating leftover kuehs. I pan fried angku kueh, cassava kueh and soon kueh too. I love the crispy skin to bits :)
