My Bento Part 1 - 2 tier lunch box

Ever since my work place relocated to an industrial area, I started to prepare bento to work as there are limited lunch options unless we drive out. From then on, I started to buy different types of lunch boxes for my bento...lol! Sharing some of my bento lunches idea I had made since then. I'm not into making cute bento, mine was just simple fares for working adults. Here a series of my 2 tier bento box lunches...

My Unagi Don Lunch Box

I don't like to go out for lunch during work days as the hot afternoon sun is really unbearable. Usually I will bring my own lunch or my colleages will buy for me. Once awhile I will go out with them. My colleagues always like to see what I bring for lunch because usually looks delicious and nice. Most of the time, my aunt will prepare for me but sometimes I will make something simple to bring. Last week I made myself an unagi don for lunch. The eel is from supermarket, just need to microwave it with the rice for 2 mins and you can have a delicious warm meal. I added some onion eggs too. Simple, convenient and delicious!

I'm bringing pasta to office tomorrow to share with my colleagues. All ready and packed, just need use microwave to heat it up during lunch time. This pasta recipe is from Chef Yong. The sauce is all home made from scratch using fresh tomatoes & puree. I tried tasting it, wow it's yummy. Can't wait to have it for lunch tomorrow.
For the basic tomato sauce recipe, can refer to Chef Yong Blog.
