Kyomomoyama @ The Central

Last Saturday, we celebrated my cousin birthday at one of the Japanese Restaurant at The Central as she love Japanese food. We went to the less crowded one which was Kyomomoyama as we were really famished and don't wish to wait too long. However, we were not very satisfied with the dinner as the quality and standard of the food was not that fantastic though pricing was rather reasonable. Should have chosen a better one...

Sushimi Mori - S$38.00

Birthday's girl favourite! The sushimi was not that fresh and taste flat. So different from what was shown on the menu which was much more appealing.

Mango Roll - S$16.00

This was the best among all the items we ordered. Crispy breadcrumb prawn and mango with sushi rice. Good!

Kaisen Sarada (Sushimi/Seafood Salad) - S$13.80

This was not too bad and there was quite a lot of sushimi bits given but would have prefer the lettuce to be in smaller cut.

Ika Sugatayaki Gozen - S$15.80

The squid set was for Bd's girl, she is a squid lover. She commented that the squid was cold when served.

Sanma Gozen - S$15.80

Aunt don't really like sushimi and sushi so I ordered a grilled sardine setg for her. The fish was nice, fatty and sweet.

Some other items that we had...

From the left : Unagi Temaki - S$5.80 (Tasteless), Salmon Hana Sushi - S$9.80 (It would be nicer if the salmon belly cut was given as shown on the menu), Salmon Maki - S$6.80 (nothing special for Aunt Peggy) & Yaki Soba - S$10.00 (too bland).

Macha Azuki (S$6.80) & Strawberry Yorgurt Drink (S$3.80)

Both drinks were quite nice and refreshing.
