Recently went for a 6 days 5 nights Phuket trip with 3 of my buddies. It's been years since we went for a trip together. The main purpose was also to give H's a little birthday surprise. She didn't know that me & J were joining her and F. We did a bit of coordination secretly through F. Booked the tickets and accommodation separately. The day came where we just appeared at the airport with a cake! Happy Birthday Hwee! Surprise!!! H's was really touched and surprised to see us. And, we delightfully board Tigerair together and started our 6 days free and easy Phuket escapade...
Patong Beach
We flew by Tigerair and thank God arrived as scheduled. If we planned our trip one week later, we will be one of those being affected by Tigerair recent mass flight cancellation. There are many beach resorts in Phuket and we decided to stay at Patong beach as the location is more strategic and convenient. Upon arrival, we took a cab which cost us (THB600 approx SGD26) to the resort. We were quite surprised that the taxi charges in Phuket is much costly compared to Bangkok. Throughout the trip, we spend quite a bit on taxi fare.

Banthai Beach Resort & Spa
A four star resort and one of the rather popular one at Patong. We were early so took a rest and received our welcome drink at the lounge while waiting for the check in.
The resort has beautiful swimming pools. Most guests preferred to stay in the pool than going to the beach which is just walking distance from the resort.
We booked 2 rooms and was linked. We are satisfied with the rooms. Clean, neat, spacious and cosy with a pool view balcony.
The resort view in the evening. When we came back that night, the hotel arranged a complimentary birthday cake for H. So sweet of them though all of us don't fancy buttercream cake.

Kata Beach – Phuket Island
Kata beach. Named one of Phuket’s voice. With white sand and beautifully detailed. Beach with palm trees in a line along the beach. Beautiful popular Rest of the foreigners. The beach house. Overland store entertainment for tourists in full.
