Phuket Day 2 (II) - Fuji Japanese Restaurant

23rd Sep 2010

After freshening up at the hotel, was almost dinner time. The night before we saw there's a Fuji Restaurant at Jungceylon so we already planned to have one of our dinners here. Fuji Japanese Restaurant is one of the biggest chain restaurants in Thailand, they have more than 50 branches all over. I remember I was rather impressed with their food when I was in Bangkok last year. However, the pricing at Phuket's branch seem to be more pricey. Total bill came up to about THB1,700 (SGD74) though is still cheaper than in Singapore.

Salmon & Vegetables Hotpot

Chunk of salmons and generous serving of vegetables in Miso base soup. Very rich & tasty.

Spicy Salmon Salad

This salad catered very much to their local palate, very spicy and zesty!

Beef & Prawn Set

Beef was done nicely at medium rare and is niced to eat with the sliced fried garlic.

Mixed Tempura

Reasonably nice as the ingredients were all very fresh.

Unagi Don

The rice quality was disappointing, not sticky at all.

Chawanmushi

These were very nicely done, very smooth and light.

Green Tea Ice Cream

Surprisingly nice! Well flavoured with green tea, very creamy and chewy. We liked it so much that we came back again just for the ice cream.

Green tea

They have their own housebrand green tea in bottle and they served the hot geen tea in therma flask.
