This is one of my favourite butter cake recipe which I had baked once, recipe by Florence of Do What I Like. Just before the year 2010 ended, I baked it again. Using a new loaf tin and don't know why the side just turn golden.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Hi Jane, SSB & Jess,
Glad that all of you will be trying out this recipe somedays.
Your butter cake is perfectly baked! Like Jane, I love the colour of cake too! Did you make the line in the middle of top part or it just split it nicely by itself?
Hi Doris, yes I made it as instructed in the recipe. This will ensure it split nicely.
I know this fine-textured butter cake will taste even better after a day or two, all buttery in flavour!
Yes you are right Judy! Very buttery!
