Soup Broth Asia

8 Feb 2011

Soup Broth Asia located at Raffles City is under the same management as The Soup Spoon but specialised in Asian Soup where the later in Western soup. At Soup Broth Asia, all the soup are simmered for at least 8 hours and all are prepared naturally with no MSG and artifical flavouring. I always wanted to check out this place since it opened last year and finally got an opportunity when H asked me out for dinner at Raffles City. Of course I suggested to try Soup Broth Asia for some comfort food instead of going for our usual Japanese and Western cuisine.

There are 12 types of soup on the menu, prices range from S$7.20 to $10.20. Each soup comes with complimentary rice but there are Fried rice and Yam rice as an alternative with an additional S$1.00 charge. To make a more complete meal, just need to top up another S$3.80 for 2 side dishes or S$4.80 for 3 dishes to have a set meal that comes with drink. The sides dishes include appetizers, meat and vegetables dishes. Definitely there are somethings that you will like.

Fujian Fish Stew - S$9.20

H had this and she liked it. The soup was very flavourful and sweet tasting!

Hainanese Fish Maw Soup

I had this because there's my favourite fish maw in it. Not bad too except I don't like dory fish fillet.

Side dishes

Sambal egg, Kailan, Wasabi prawn & Cold tofu

Yam Rice

Fried Rice

Quite value for money... for less than S$15 per pax, we got a pretty good meal. Definitely better than having fast food. Don't you agree?

*Btw recently I find it so tedious to draft my post, nearly give up. The alignment always mess up when I switch between 'Edit Html' and 'Compose'. When it looks ok at 'Compose' but when I preview it, all mess up again! Anyone face this problem too? Any clue on how to solve it?
