8 Days Korea & Jeju Discovery Trip ~ 17.5.11 to 24.5.11

Joined SA Tours for 8 days Korea & Jeju discovery tour in May 2011 with family. Though was my 3rd time to Korea but still love and fascinated by Korean's culture and food. The tour package was about $1,750 plus per person which includes a deluxe and comprehensive itinerary where most of the meals were included. Weather was good and cool as it was still Spring, only towards the end of the trip weather got warmer. And the best part was this was a gift trip for me, thank you Uncle! Here's the highlights of the itinerary.  

Day 1 & 2 - 17/18 May 2011

~ Lunch: Ginseng chicken soup lunch at Seoul
~ Kimpo Domestic Airport for flight to Jeju
~ Teddy Bear Safari Museum (Teseum)
~ Mysterious Road
~ Dinner: Abalone and seafood hotpot dinner
~ Nanta Show
~ Check in Phoenix Island Resort

Day 3 - 19 May 2011

~ Breakfast: Buffet breafkast at hotel
~ Seongsan Sunrise Peak
~ Submarine ride
~ Jeju Mandarin Orange farm
~ Lunch: BBQ black pig
~ Seongup Folk Village
~ Go Kart riding
~ Yongduam Dragon Rock
~ Dinner: Authentic Korean style dinner
~ Jungang underground shopping centre & wet market @ Topdong Shopping Street

Day 4 - 20 May 2011

~ Breakfast: Jeju abalone porridge
~ Jeju to Kimpo
~ Lunch: Korean buffet
~ Seoraksan National Park
~ Mt Sorak Cable Car ride
~ Gwon Geum Seong Fortress
~ Shinhungsa Temple
~ Dinner: Dried fish hotpot soup dinner
~ Check in YongPyong Dragon Valley Hotel (filming site of 'Winter Sonata' drama)

Day 5 - 21 May 2011

~ Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at Winter Sonata Cafe
~ YongPyong Gondola ride to Dragon Peak
~ Lunch: Korean BBQ
~ Agroland Taeshin Farm (tractor ride/cow milking/hand-on making ice cream)
~ Check in Resom Spa Castle
~ Indoor and outdoor hot spring spa
~ Dinner: Dumplings steamboat

Day 6 - 22 May 2011

~ Breakfast: Buffet breakfast in hotel
~ Strawberry picking at farm
~ Ginseng Monopoly Showroom
~ Lunch: Duck & Vegetables Hotpot with Bibimbap
~ Skin Care course at Nature Republic
~ Sinchon Shopping street (near Ewha Womans University)
~ Dinner: Pan Fry Chicken & Sticky rice cake
~ Shopping at Dongdaemun market
~ Check in LotteWorld Hotel

Day 7 - 23 May 2011

~ Breakfast: Buffet breakfast in a local restaurant
~ Yongin Everland Themepark
~ Lunch: Western food at Holland Village in the themepark
~ Korean Traditional Centre (Hand-on making kimchi & dressing in Hanbok)
~ LotteWorld Adventure Park
~ Dinner: Jajangmyun (black bean paste noodles) at Shanghai in the LotteWorld.

Day 8 - 24 May 2011

~ Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at The War Memorial of Korea
~ Amethyst Factory
~ Lunch: Korean Shabu Shabu & Sushi Buffet
~ Shopping at Korean souvenirs shop
~ Incheon Airport to Singapore
~ Dinner on board
