Dedicate this post to Singapore and also to my uncle who celebrated his 56th birthday at MBS. The family gave him a little surprise by booking a room last weekend at MBS. We were glad to get a glimpse of some part of NDP 2011 rehearsal in the comfort of our room.
With the family's friend "lobang" ... we managed to get the room at a rather good rate and check in at the VIP lounge where refreshments were served. Oh that's my uncle... very happy with the arrangement!
The room is quite spacious with a very impressive bathroom. After checking in, we drove out to buy food for the birthday party! Look at the spread we prepared ... glad that everyone enjoyed the food. Let's take a look at the spread...

Fresh cherries for dessert. Durian cake from Jane Cake Station @ 265 Jalan Kayu and of course some good wine for such an occasion!
Beautiful firework at Sand Sky Park. First time for me to see firework at such a near distance! Awesome!
