Xian Pin Guo Steamboat

[Closed]
Please pardon me for missing in action recently, will be picking up soon hopefully... This month hits the lowest posts record in my 3 years of blogging life. Yes pretty tied up at work and also took 2 short trips this month. Let me starts the blogging bug again with this post.

Visited this steamboat joint in July 2011 with family to celebrate my Uncle's birthday. An ala carte buffet steamboat restaurant located at Joo Chiat Road. Quite value for money at:

Mon to Thu - $16.80++/adult, $8.80++/child
Fri-Sun, Eve & on PH - $18.80++/adult, $8.80++/child

The buffet includes some cooked food and dessert so with this kind of pricing, really nothing much to complain plus the steamboat items are mostly very fresh. We chose tom yum and chicken soup which I preferred the latter as the tom yum was a bit too sweet tasting for my liking.

The Thai style chilli sauce is very nice and appetising.

The seafood, meat and vegetebles are all very fresh.

The slice beef is very tender.

Simple yet delicious!

The cooked items include fried rice, fried finger food, stir fry clam, sambal squid & herbal prawn. All quite nicely executed. As for dessert of the day are ice cream and green bean soup.

The ala cart buffet menu, more than 60 items to choose from.

Looks yum.  Best part is that it offers 2 different types of broth catering to those who like spice and those who don't.  Plus the greedy folks who enjoy both.
