Day 4 (Part 2) - 28th Aug 2011
After visiting Tanah Lot, it was time for lunch. We wished to try authentic Balinese food and our guide brought us to Men Agus for babi guling again. This is one of his and the Balinese favourite place for babi guling.
Slightly different from Ibu Oka, the version here was more interesting in term of varieties. It comes with the babi guling crackling skin and meat, 2 side vegetables, fried pork, sausage and 2 sticks of chicken satay.
The chicken satay was our favourite! It even outshine the babi guling! We liked it so much that we ordered extra to munch.
The sambal chilli was very very spicy! I can't even take it though I think my chilli tolerance level is quite high.
One set comes with rice, soup, meat and vegetables were served separately.
Fruit tea is one of the popular soft drink in Bali. I like it as it was refreshing.
Tehbotoh is also popular too. Tasted like sweetened red tea.
At the counter, we saw this sinful and high cholesterol snack! Deep fried chicken skin! Dare to try? Lol!
The stall front, displaying 3 large slices of crackling pork skin.
A typical looking warung in Indonesia. Warung refers to a small family owned cafe or restaurant.
