The Vines located at Novena Ville is a hidden gem! The cosy and dim lighting family style restaurant serves a wide variety of value for money western food specialised in steak, seafood and grills. Their concept is rather similar to Jack's Place. The food was a mixture of hits and misses. Most of the items we tried were quite nicely done except for the pork belly, lobster soup and calamari were misses!

Escargot Gastronome (1/2 doz) - $8.50++

Our all times favourite! Snails cooked under salamander with garlic butter & served sizzling in shells.

The value set meal that need top up of S$3.50 comes with garlic toast, soup of the day, dessert - bread pudding and drink.

Lobster Bisque - S$5++

A tomato based cream soup pureed from shellfish and lobster morsels. My aunt commented that there was a fishy after taste which she disliked.

Crispy Golden Calamari

September's promotion - Free when you spend S$40 nett per receipt. The calamari was sliced too thinly with thick batter.

Tenderloin Steak - S$23.00++

A thick cut of well marble beef grill to medium done topped with brown sauce, served with baked potato and vegetables. They served topping for the baked potatoes too.

BBQ Boneless Chicken Thigh with King Prawn - S$15.20++

Surf and turf combo of chicken and prawns served with baked potatoes and vegetables.

BBQ Pork Ribs - S$13.80++

Rack of thick and succulent pork ribs braised in their famous BBQ sauce. Served with coleslaw and fries.

Oven Baked Pork Belly - S$15.00++

Marinated in sea salt and slow baked tilll golden brown served with pineapple raisin sauce. This was a disappointment as the pork skin was not crispy at all.

Braised Colonial Oxtail Stew - S$16.00++

The Vines family's Hainanese secret recipe passed down from the owner's father who is a colonial cook. This was served with mashed potatoes and vegetables as side.

BBQ Prawn Aglio Olio - S$12.80++

Spaghetti tossed in olive oil, garlic and chilli flakes topped with BBQ prawns.

Ambiance is cosy and country style. Service was good and very attentive. Total bill came up to S$135 which was very value for money for the amount of food we had. All of us had no complaints!
