Take a break from my Japan trip post... Today is my colleague, Zuhairah's wedding day! Just came back from the dinner. This is my first time attending Malay wedding. It was held at her residential function hall. The venue was nicely decorated and the atmosphere was rather pleasant too.

Congratulation, Sharon!

Congratulation to my colleague, Sharon for her new born baby boy, Elton. Last Saturday was the full month celebration but I'm too busy to attend. Anyway, she send a few boxes of cakes from Choz Confectionery to office for us. I tried the tart and cake, the tart was quite nice and fresh. Cake was a bit on the salty side.

Wedding Dinner @ Club Chinois, Orchard Parade Hotel

Last night attended a colleague's son wedding dinner at Orchard Parade Hotel by Club Chinois, Tung Lok. A standard 8 course dinner in Antica Ballroom, the ballroom is quite small with low ceiling. The food was ok only but I expect it to be better since it's under Tung Lok. The best dish I think goes to the dessert, Yam puree with gingko nuts.

8 course dinner:

3. Sauteed Prawns and Scallop with Asparagus in Homemade XO Sauce

Sweetest Moments - "MANYUE"

This was from my colleague Louis, his new born baby girl full month. This afternoon he left a few boxes in the pantry for us to share. I like the packaging and few of us had kept the boxes. I took a few too. There were good luck red eggs, ang ku kuehs, swiss roll, fruit tarts, mochi & glutinous rice. I tried the glutinous rice, fruit tarts & ang ku kueh, all quite tasty. This is an impressive full month gift with tasteful packaging. For those who are going to be parents & married, can consider "Sweetest Moments". Other than baby full month packages, they cater for wedding & specialise in cupcakes too.
