It's been years since I visited Mitzi, a traditional Chinese restaurant that serve authentic Cantonese cuisine. They has been around for years since 1985, used to be at Murray Street but has since relocated to Tanjong Pagar sometimes ago. I nearly forgotten that there's such a nice place for Cantonese food till my friends sugguested to have dinner there for H's birthday. This is a great place for family/reunion dinner especially with the elderly. I love their cooking, full of wok hei! They have lots of nice tradtional dishes like the Pork ribs, Fish head beehoon, Roast chicken, Shark fin, Claypot beancurb, Xi Chap hor fun/beehoon etc... All very reasonably price and taste excellent.
Crab Meat & Fish Maw Soup - S$30.00 (S)
Deep Fried Prawn Roll - S$12.00 (S)
Sweet & Sour Pork - S$10.00 (S)
Braised Beancurb in Claypot - S$10.00 (S)
It was cooked in the traditional way with a good stock to braise the bamboo shoot, chicken, seafood, vegetables and tofu. A comforting dish and the sauce was very tasty that went very well with rice.
Sliced Fish with Kailan - S$10.00 (S)
Full of wok hei and the sliced fish was thick and fresh.
Seafood Beehoon - S$6.00 (S)
Has not tasted such good wok hei beehoon for awhile already. I think they serve one of the best Seafood/Fish hor fun and beehoon in Singapore.
