Preparation for X'mas Fruit Cake...

Every year around this time, I will start soaking mixed fruits with brandy for my fruit cakes. I have started soaking since Monday, 15th Dec. I will be baking a few this year for friends and family.

Usually I will soak up to at least 1 week, covered at room temperature and toss it every alternate day. As I left with a little brandy so I mixed rum in for the soaking. So I can start baking my fruit cakes on Sunday.
