Hi,

My 1st visit here. The color of pie looks beautiful and filling is tempting. I think I will skip pastry, still too coward to try baking yet (blushed) I'll make filling as a dish along with pasta or rice

Hi, I like to check if you roll out one or two pastry dough for the paper casing...ie one for base and another to cover after putting in the fillings. You use a fork to make pattern on the dough? Thank you. LP

Hi LP,

Yes, you need to roll out 2 pastry. I used to tart mould to cut, one for the base and another one to cover. Then, I press the pastry into the tart mould and not onto the paper casing. You need a solid support to hold the pastry. The paper casing is for serving only.

For the corner, I used a fork to seal it and mini cookie cutter for the different shapes on the cover.

Happy baking!
