Changi Village Food Centre

5th Feb 2009

It's Friday and a working day but four of us (with 3 of my buddies) took leave to take a short break to get together to celebrate H's Birthday! Without family & kids along, it's a ladies day! We started the day early at 8am. Had a hearty Mcdonald's Big breakfast at Harbourfront. Then from there we took a long long stroll all the way starting from Harbourfront to HortPark - The Gardening Hub. We took almost 2 hours! Wow that's pretty good exercise for us after such a heavy breakfast. From there we took a cab back to Harbourfront to get the car and drove to Changi Village. We booked a night stay at Changi Village Hotel, a little surprise for the birthday girl so the 4 of us were spending a night there. It's almost 2pm when we checked in. All of us were hungry again and had our lunch at Changi Village Hawker Centre.

Wonderful day out with my buddies

Weng Kee's Minced Pork Noodles

Weng Kee's Wanton Mee

This stall was featured in the TV sometimes ago. Famous for it's minced pork & wanton mee. 2 of my friends had these and they liked it.

Changi Village Fried Hokkien Mee

I ordered this as I saw the stall was being recommended by media. The mee was not bad but very fantastic. Not the best hokkien mee around.

Laihwa Scallop Cheongfun

The scallop was fresh and sweet tasting but the cheongfun skin was too thick for our liking.

Oyster Omelette

J ordered this but I'm not sure where she got it. It's simply egg with oyster without flour. Not bad a healtier version from the tradtional one.

After lunch, we went back to the hotel to rest and laze around. Some of us went swimming and some went to gym. A workout day for us.
