Chicken Hotpot - Revisited

22nd Apr 2010

The last time was one year ago. This small eatery at Square 2 is still packed during meal times. Menu is simple, only 3 types of hot pot to choose from. Used to be only chicken and beef, now there is prawn. It's my kind of comfort food, sizzling flavoursome hotpot served with rice. We ordered the large prawn and chicken hotpot to share which was just nice for 4.

Prawn Hot Pot

Quite unique and nice. The base was generous serving of celery in rich tom yum stock, followed by crispy french fries and top with fried prawn. The prawn was deep fried till crisp which I can literally eat the whole prawn with the skin and head.

This was very appetizing and yummy. The fries were surprisingly delicious.

Chicken Hotpot

Chicken, green pepper, chilli and onion stewed in special spices and seasoning. I always like chicken especially those cooked in hotpot. The sauce was very flavourful that go well with rice.

It's another type of flavour when additional stock was added where you can add additional item. We chose to add bittergoud and my all time favourite instant noodle.

Indeed a satisfying dinner. However, they can't accomodate large group of diners, max 4-5 paxes only. And also, used to be no service charge but now 10% service charge is applicable.
