Soup Restaurant @ Toa Payoh

22 May 2010

Soup Restaurant has a new outlet in Toa Payoh, right beside Popeyes. Give us another choice for Chinese food. Dine in other branches numerous times so the food here is nothing new to us. They served simple homestyle & traditional Chinese dishes. Famous for it's Samsui women dishes like the Samsui Ginger Chicken, Ah Por Fan Shu Leaves, Ah Kon Fan Shu Leaves, Beggar Bowl Tofu and Double Boiled Herbal Soups. Restaurant interior is cosy with an oriental style which can be seen in almost every outlets. Went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with Aunt.

Samsui Ginger Chicken - S$14.80++

Steamed chicken was tender served boneless with special homemade ginger sauce. The ginger was flavourful and pair well with the chicken.

Nice & refreshing to eat it with fresh lettuce.

Claypot Sea Cucumber & Duck Wing - S$17.80++

Sea cucumber braised with fried duck wings & beancurb sticks in claypot. A comfort dish that goes well with rice.

Double Boiled Ling Zhi with Lean Pork Soup - S$5.80++

How can we not have any soup at Soup Restaurant? This soup with Lingzhi is good for calming one's mind and nerves and combating insomnia.

Stir Fry Baby Kai Lan with Tong Gui - S$8.80++

Green vegetable a must have for all our meal.

Peanut - S$2.00++ / Towel - S$0.80++ ea
