Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant

Day 2 (Part 9) - 26th Aug 2011

After a relaxing afternoon in our villa, we arranged the driver to pick us up for dinner at Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant located in one of the nearby villa in Ubud. The restaurant famous for their deep fried crispy duck (Bebek refers to duck). We enjoyed the food very much and agreed that this was our best meal in Bali.

If you choose to sit at the al fresco section in the day, you can dine amidst the rice paddy field.

Complimentary peanut was served. This peanut was really addictive. We liked it so much that we bought quite a few packs home. Available in most convenient stores.

Gado Gado - Rp 37,500++
The sauce was really good. Rich, thick and spicy!

Signature dish ~ Tepi Sawah Crispy Duck - Rp 75,000++
Traditional Balinese deep fried duck served with Balinese vegetables, 3 types of home-made sambal and rice. This is a must try! Though it looked dry but the meat was very tender and tasty, even the bones were so crispy and could be eaten. It went very well with all the sambal served.

Grilled Pork Ribs - Rp 78,000++
Though the duck is the specialty but the pork is as good too and not to be neglected. Grilled marinated pork ribs served with Balinese vegetables, rice and home-made sambal. The rib was very well marinated, the flesh was succulent and tender! Thumbs up!

These small little plates of home-made sambal were very well cocorted and added lots of pleasures to our meal. Do not touch if you cannot take spicy stuff...lol! It's super hot and fiery!

Banana Chocolate Pancake with Vanilla Ice Cream - Rp 35,000++
Of course we need some dessert to soothe the spiciness...

Coconut Juice - Rp 15,000++
Some refreshing coconut drinks to cleanse our palate...

The menu offers a wide variety of grilled main courses too. They have grilled fish, seafood, beef ribs and chicken. You can opt for fries instead of rice too.

The night was still young after dinner... so we went back to our villas for games and snacks happy hour!

Stay tune for my Day 3 updates on Bali... where we visited the beautiful Balinese beaches!
