A Memorial Tribute to My Sweet Loving Win Win!

I am quiet in the month of July 2012, not in the right mood to update this blog. The reason was because I lost one of my pet, Win Win on 7th July 2012.

Rest in peace! Thank you for giving us so much joy and memorable moments in your 12 years and 9 months with us. Without you, a part of us is lost. Will always love and miss you! Take care and we will see you in Heaven. Love, your family!

I'm helping a friend to circulate this message around even though this is not related to food....

Please help to forward this notice. My friend lost her dog today at Bangkit Road (Bukit Panjang area). Her helper forgot to close the door and her dog squeezed through the gate. The helper did not even notice it until hours later when my friend came home this evening. So so sad... If anyone staying in this area and happen to see him, please contact the owner. A reward of $500 will be given as a token of appreciation.

Happy Belated Easter Day! Few days ago I was invited by Cheah from No-Frills Recipe and Edith from Precious Moments to a Easter Party! I was required to suggest 5 to 10 recipes and upload the photos with their respective links. Follow by tagging 10 bloggers to do the same. ToTT - A Kitchen Wonderland

ToTT a newly opened superstore that caters to all your kitchen needs domestically and commercially at wholesale price. The moment I stepped into the store, I was impressed by the array of products, quite a complete range. The store is huge and I can easily spend half a day there. There is a cooking studio that conduct cooking classes pretty often. A Bistro for you to take a break or have a simple meal while shopping. The most interesting and left a deep impression to me will be the Bake & Go studio where you can buy a pack of cookie mix and bake it at the studio. Great for those who want to bake but do not have the facilities at home. Planning a trip there again soon before the CNY. Have you been there before? Do you like it?

My blog is up again!

Hi All,

My blog is up again... though not totally but at least the main one (recipe, workshop and dining out delight will be up soon). I encountered some errors in the template so I had locked it since yesterday. Been searching for a new one to replace and ended with this simple one, there's lots of editing to do still. Some of my subscribers have unregistered from my blog, must be thinking that it was shut forever...no no I'm still actively blogging! Anyway still looking around for a nicer one... any suggestion for site to visit to get free blogger template?

Baker King, Kim Tak Goo @ Bread, Love and Dreams

Baker King, Kim Tak Goo is a new Korean drama about bread, love and dream. A very motivating, meaningful and touching drama though the cast are mostly newbies but it's keep me on. I'm so addicted to this drama, now on episode 23 finishing at 30. Will I start bread making craze after watching this drama liked I fell in love with pasta after watching "Pasta" ! Who's know...maybe...lol!

Beater Blade

Always wanted to buy a beater blade for my Kenwood Chef mixer as I been hearing lots of good things about it. Especially useful for making butter cake and cheese cake where we usually need to stop the mixer and use a spatular to scrape down the mixture. With beater blade, it scrapes the bowl while mixing. Thanks to Elyn from Shop 'n' Bake for getting the right model of beater blade for my mixer. I got it months ago but only try using it recently. Glad that it works perfectly.

Tried out the beater blade while making a marble cake.


With balance 2 egg yolks from the Banana Chiffon cake, I finished it up on this marble cake recipe which required additional 2 egg yolks.

The New Paper Big Walk @ 18th Jul 2010

The New Paper Big Walk is an annual affair that always attract lots of participants. I remembered I went once long time ago probably during my schooling days. This was my 2nd time. I was dragged to join in this year by my buddies and I was glad that I went. Feeling pretty good to wake up early in the morining for the walk. Starting point at The Flyer and ended at Marina Bay, I think approx. about 4-5km. Thank God, it was a cooling Sunday and only towards the end that it started to rain. Haha have not been exercising often so after the walk, I was so so tired! Anyway I did enjoy myself and after the walk we went to Tg Pagar market for breakfast.

Now, let me talk about 7 funny eating habits of mine instead of the usual stuff where most already knew from reading my blogs.

1. I don't take prawns unless it was coated with batter to deep fry like tempura or prawn fritters.
2. I don't like potatoes but I like french fry! I eat curry without potatoes.
3. I don't like yam cooked in any kind except yam cake.
3. I don't like satay, rojak and mee siam. Am I Singaporean??? lol!
4. I eat dumplings but I will always dig out the chestnut.
5. I hate all kinds preserved tibits especially sour plum "xuan mei"! Really dislike!
6. Other than a taxi queen, I'm also a maggi mee queen. Serious? yes... Whenever I'm on vacation, I will definitely buy their local instant noodles. I like those from Hongkong and Taiwan.
7. I love pepper crab but recently I noticed I'm allergy to pepper crab! Really don't understand why too. But I can take it when it was cooked in other ways.

Anybody has the same eating habits as me??

Nice Malay Wedding Decor!

Finally got my new digital camera -

Canon Powershot SX200 IS

Main features: 12.1 megal pixel, 12x optical zoom, scene detection technology

Previously, I was using Canon digital IXUS 750 (7MP) and always felt that my pictures were not sharp & bright. So glad that Aunt bought this for me and we got it at a rather good price at Sim Lim Square. I've chosen the black one more professional ma...lol! Some may feel that this was a bit bulky but still so much smaller than a DSLR. Maybe my next target will be DSLR... For now this is good enough for me and I'm completely please with this camera.
