Best of Blk 630 Bedok Reservoir Food Centre

One of my favourite hawker centre for lunch with few of my colleagues. Not within walking distance from workplace so usually we will share a cab to go there whenever we crave for nice hawker food! Usually we will go there twice a month. Lots of nice food in this hawker centre. Here's a list of our favourites.

Bedok Reservoir Road Food Centre S470630
Cheng Fa Fried Kway Tiao #01-11

This stall was newly opened. The char kway tiao and beehoon got standard! Not the very sweet type which I liked and full of wok hei. A must try!

Long Fa Yong Tau Foo #01-16

The homemade ngoh xiang and fish cake are really good but quite expensive. The soup was flavourful with ikan bilis and soya bean infused in it. What I like is they will refry all the fried items and serve separately. Everything are nice and fresh, just a bit pricey. You can easily spend $4-$6 for a meal.

Yuan Li Shu Shi #01-25

This noodle is one of my favourite. The mee was superspicy and they are very generous with the ingredients. Shiok!

Sometimes we will order a carrot cake to share as a side. Slightly above average as compared to some of the hawker stalls.

Soon Huat Cooked Food #01-03

We love the fishball soup of this stall so we will order one to share at times.

Check out some of these stalls that I had blogged before which are also our favourites.

Da Chang #01-01 : Fish Soup, Braised Pig Trotter, Fried Fish Head

Xiang Ji Chicken Rice #01-26 : Hainanese Chicken Rice (Very good char siew)

Guang Liang Cooked Food #01-35 : Kway Chap (sold out early)

Went there today to eat. Did not get to eat the char Kway teow as it is closed till27/11/2011. Also the wan tan mee stall was closed, strange today being a Sunday! Perhaps their business is too good and they need a break?
Ordered the Kway chap and the minced pork and fish ball noodles. Waited 45 min for the Kway chap which in my opinion was average. The fish ball noodles came in 1/2 hour. The noodles were springy but the liao was not as much as your picture.
The carrot cake was great and their service was fast.

Parking was a headache.
I would not return to this place to eat.
It is too much of a hassle to wait so long for the food.
But thanks so much for introducing the place though.

Btw, Sheng Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice at. Blk 704 Bedok Reservoir Road was great.
I tried it yesterday, really authentic Hainanese steam white chicken, just like the way my granny used to cook during the kampong days!
