PA - Cake Making Stage 5 By Richard Goh

This was the last stage in Richard Goh's cake making workshops and I attended it at Ang Mo Kio CC. Stage 6 is a hand on class teaching Cake Icing Method. In stage 5, there's more emphasis on pastries.

Here's some of the photos for the 8 sessions of Stage 5 (Total - 16 recipes):

For Stage 5, out of the 16 recipes, my favourites are Almond Tarts, Cheese Scones, Peach Truffle, Quiche, Walnut w/Sunflower Cookies & Yogurt Cheese Cake. (6/16)

Cake making really need lots of practices, interests & creativity. And a good recipe & premium ingredient. I'm still learning and sometimes the baking results may not turn out good too. However by attending the 5 stages, it had provided me with some basic knowledge and skill of cake & pastry which was quite worthwhile. After all, the course fee was cheap.

For info on Richard Goh's classes, please refer to OnePA or my posting on Stage 1.

PA - Cake Making Stage 4 By Richard Goh

Here's some of the photos taken in Stage 4 at Cairhill CC. Some of the recipes in stage 4 are my all times favourite as I have done it quite a few times eg Tiramisu, Durian Mousse Cake & White Fruit Cake.

Out of the 18 recipes, my favourites in Stage 4 are Chocolate Strawberry Cheese Cake, Durian Butter Cake, Durian Mousse Cake, Lemon Sour Cream Cake,Orange Yogurt cake, Orange Mousse Cake, Tiramisu & White Fruit Cake. (8/18)

PA - Cake Making Stage 3 By Richard Goh

Stage 3 was one of my favourite out of the 5 stages as it concentrated more on fresh cream cake. I got to know basic cake decoration, creaming of cake & using of premium ingredients in this stage. However, we need a lot of practices to obtain good result. I attended Stage 3 at Cairhill CC but I didn't have all the photos.

Here's some of them for reference:

Out of the 16 recipes, my favourites are Black Forest Cake, Chocolate Gateau Cake, Cream Cheese Torte Cake, Christmas Log Cake, Freshfruit Tarts, Kueh Lapis, Mango Mousse Cake, Mixed Fruit Flan & Strawberry Crumbles. (9/16)

PA - Cake Making Stage 2 By Richard Goh

These were some of the cakes & pastries demostrated in Stage 2 cake making by Richard Goh. Some of the cake design may be outdated as I attended this workshop in Yr 2006 at Kreta Ayer CC. So maybe now he has improved on the designs.

Stage 2 - 8 sessions (Total recipes - 16)

The recipes in Stage 2 that I like & think is good - Apple Pie, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Cheese Cake, Rich Chocolate Cake, Raisin Buns, Strawberry Fruit Cake & Walnut Cake. (7/16)

PA - Cake Making Stage 1 by Richard Goh

During my break 2 years ago, other than attending breadmaking classes at Jia Lei, I had attended cake making demo class too at PA conducted by Richard Goh. He offered 6 stages of caking making classes and I had attended all of them, previously I had posted the Stage 6 photos which was the Icing Class. He's one of the quite popular Baking Instructor in PA. He is cheerful and friendly. What I respect about him is that he will teach you all that he knows, unlike some instructors tend to be more reserved.

Recently, I been tidying up my photo album. I have sorted out the workshops photo by stages. However, some was omitted as it was not properly taken. I will post it up as reference for those who are interested in attending his classes at PA.
