30th Dec 2010

A company function - New Year Day Celebration dinner buffet was arranged at workplace. Caterer for the day was Orchid Thai Catering. This caterer specialised in halal certified Thai Fusion cuisine. Quality of food are quite authentic and nice. See the menu as follows and those highlighted in red were in my opinion executed pretty well and were also the signature dishes. However the portion were not very generous as we catered for 120 paxes but only about 100 paxes were eating and there were no leftover at all which was quite unusual.

NYD Gathering at BY's

1st Jan 2010

Finally I'm done with my last year backlogs. First day of the Year 2010, I brought my sweetheart (not my D is my dog ok, lol!), Wally to BY's for a lunch gathering. We had a great time catching up and BY's hubby, Ivan who is quite good with his Canon DSLR took quite a few gorgeous photos for Wally and C's daughter Tong Tong.

We went to her place earlier and cooked lunch together. Being a better cook among them, I taught them how to prepare my all time favourite Sukiyaki Hotpot and prawn fritters which was a special request from C. She fell in love with this dish since I made it for her years ago during CNY at my house.

New Year Day Dinner At Home

On New Year Day, I invited my uncle's family over for dinner. I wanted to try out some of Chef Yong's recipe that I like when I attended his workshop. Though it's look almost the same like his but somehow his still taste better. I think that is for sure if not I can be Chef too, hahaha....

Another mini feast I prepared, my first woking in the Year 2009. How to go on diet when I love cooking and baking so much... These were our New Year Dinner, looked good right?

Fish Maw Soup

Cold Chicken & Glass Noodle Salad w/Sesame Dressing

Honey Walnut Prawn

Braised Pork Ribs w/Mantou

Dessert for the day: Mixed Fruits Flan
